60 killed 150 injured as blast hits Jaipur

A series of synchronized bomb blasts shook  the pink city of Jaipur on Tuesday evening. A series of seven blasts occurred in crowded market places of the city. All the blasts occurred within minutes of each other The home ministry sources claim that the blasts might have been conducted by the Bangladesh-based Harkut-ul-Jehadi Islami organization.

The blasts occured at the following areas:Hanuman temple, Manas Chowk , Johari Bazar, Badi Choupal, Tripolia Bazar and Choti Choupal (all within two kilometer radius). There were a total of eight explosives, seven of which went off however the police managed to diffuse one of the explosives. The injured have been rushed to the hospital and some members are said to be in a critical condition.Most of the injured were rushed to Sawai Mansingh Hospital

Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel were deployed in Jaipur to help deal with the situation as security was beefed up.Following this incident the security has been increased in major cities across India.
