The August Visa bulletin holds good news for those Indians who had applied to the USA Green Card and are waiting for years in line for their turn. Usually the news is published on the USCIS webiste. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html As this news was published the website still shows the July dates. However the August numbers were somehow released by the US consulate in Mumbai. The link is http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html The USCIS data superceeds the data released by the US consulate in Mumbai, however the numbers look good and people are optmistic about the numbers Below are the latest priority dates for August 2008 |

Bilateral trade between India and China opened today through the fabled Silk Road amid a fresh border row, with Beijing claiming a strip of land in Sikkim. Border trade was earlier scheduled to open on May 1 but was postponed after Beijing requested New Delhi to delay the start following landslides in the Tibet Autonomous Region," said Ujwal Gurung, Sikkim's director of industry and commerce. "Formal trade for the current year began on Monday and would continue until Nov 30," Gurung added . |
