News  Critique
In this section we will analyze several newspapers on the newsworthiness.
Cricket made it to the headlines on most of the newspapers. Shewag played well and hit a triple century in a test against south Africa. Since he played well after a long time there have been multiple reports glorifying him as the best thing that has ever happen in Indian Cricket.
Other Items included continued coverage of Raj Thackeray and Amitabh's direct and indirect confrontation and war of words. From time to time Advani's book also comes into the headlines. These news items are ideal filler material for news agencies and they will continue to fill in their pages with stuff for the next few weeks.

Goa and IAS officers murder case still remain medias favorites and these stale news items are still being covered by a couple of news agencies.

Special Analysis
In today's analysis we look at how narrowly we Indians try to fix a problem after it is broken. We never try to root cause a problem as a result we end up facing similar problems all the time. Bangalore airport had an incident last week when a stray dog caused an airplane to skid. Dogs were rounded up at Bangalore airport. What is wrong here? Stray dogs were rounded up only at the airport and not anywhere else in the city. Even worse this action was done only in Bangalore airport where the incident occurred. Other airports did not even check.

The corrective action is like a kid who fails an exam and in his second attempt he tries learn only those things that he answered incorrectly in his previous exam. Surprise... there are going to be new questions this time !

Until all the issues are root caused, any action taken will only mask the issue temporarily (and not resolve it). They might round up the dogs today but after a month there will be ten new dogs which will make their way in.
