About 17 naxals have been killed in Andhra Pradesh police near the Chhattisgarh  border. This issue can become a big newsmaker soon as Naxals plan to retaliate. This operation is said to be a big strategic blow to Naxal operations in that region.

Bloodshed in Northeast:
Eleven Hindi Speaking people slaughtered in Assam (and media still does not look into this issue). This is a national news. We have been reporting about growing violence in Assam which is a highly underrated news item.
What is most shameful is that USA today carried this article while most of the Indian "Newspapers" ignored it.
14 People killed in Manipur. All 14 are believed to be Non-Manipuris.
- Taslima accused Indian politicians of using vote bank politics. Statements like these are really shameful for Indian image worldwide.

Some other news items are:
-A blood donor racket was busted in Gorakhpur  (Uttar Pradesh).
-Top cop found guilty in " Shivani murder" case
-Cochin International Airport closed for re-carpeting the runway

Watch out for the following news items in the future
News about Naxals in Andhra Pradesh
As we mentioned in our earlier reports Northeast reels under threat from regionalism.
Watch out for India's role in the China-Tibet scuffle.
Nuclear Deal still uncertain.
