News Critique April 11th
Quota ruled the news items ! One of the news channels had back to back quota news, not once not twice but four headlines all on the same line. The first heading was "27 pc quota upheld: Are OBCs India's new rulers?" while the second one was " Arjun and VP: Crusaders of quota 'vindicated" , well you get the picture. One news item covered from multiple angles. "The quota story was everywhere, as we moved to analyze the news of the next news channel we found news articles having the same tone but a different heading like, " After quota verdict, now what?" . Again the second news channel also had back to back four top headlinestalking about quota. Quota news item is important but at the same time it is not the only thing that has been happening in the nation, and foucs should be there on other items as well. By having one news item analyzed from various angles, the nation is starved of real news items.
