The Congress stormed into power in Mizoram winning 32 of the 40 seats in the State.Its a new electoral history in Mizoram as no party has gained 4/5 majority in the Assembly since Mizoram attained statehood in 1987.
The Congress stormed into power in Mizoram winning 32 of the 40 seats in the State.Its a new electoral history in Mizoram as no party has gained 4/5 majority in the Assembly since Mizoram attained statehood in 1987.The ruling MNF was routed after decade long reign in the state.The Congress's landslide victory in the state is attributed to anti-incumbency,curruption charges against MNF government.The Congress hailed it as people's victory and pledged to "rebuild the economy of Mizoram".
