BJP gets into Lok Sabha election mode |

The topic about the Lok sabha elections totally overshadowed two-day session of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP resolved that it will perform better than what it did in 1999. BJP had no qualms in expressing that its enthusiasm and self-confidence was a result of the historic victory in Karnataka last week.
In a speech L. K Advani, stated that Congress was shrinking all over the country and pointed out that the Congress party had suffered defeats in as many as 12 state elections since May 2004 while BJP performed well in the during the same period, in Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Nagaland and Karnataka.
Advani said that Congress and left did little or nothing for the agriculture sector and the middle class is suffering due to the spiraling cost of essential commodities. In addition to that Advani criticized congress for its weak policy on terrorism. BJP adopted a new slogan for the general elections “Jeetega Bhajapa. Jeetega Bharat.” This slogan has been adopted from Gujarat’s slogan
