Four Terrorists Killed in Kashmir |

The Indian Security forces achieved a major success in North Kashmir by killing four hardcore terrorists belonging to the outlawed LeT group. The terrorists were killed in two separate operations in the frontier districts of Baramulla and Kupwara.
According to the official press release the first operation was launched by troops of 32 Rashtriya Rifles, CARGO Srinagar and STF Baramulla at Watergam in Baramulla district. The operation had to be started because the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire at about 0800 hrs. During the fire fight two terrorists were killed. Two AK-47, four magazines, 24 rounds of AK ammunition and one hand grenade was recovered from the possession of slain terrorists. Slain terrorists have been identified as Abu Khalid and Abu Marjaheed both foreign terrorists of LeT. The second operation was launched by troops of the 30 Rashtriya Rifles and STF Handwara, The security forces came in contact with terrorists at around 0845 hrs. A firefight between the security personals and the terrorists started and the two terrorists were killed as a result of this operation. One AK-47 and one RPG launcher were recovered from the possession of slain terrorists at Maratgam. Both these operations were still in progress when reports last came. |
