Islamic Seminary Issues Fatwa against Terror |

Darool-Uloom Deoband, a 150 year-old India-based Islamic seminary, issued a “fatwa” against terrorism. This influential institution has direct and indirect impact on several Islamic schools spread across the subcontinent.It has been believed that Taliban and several extremists in UK had been indoctrinated in schools that were offshoots of Darool-Uloom Deoband.
The organization called for a peaceful religion and denounced violence and terrorism. The mufti from Darul-Uloom Habibur Rehman said in the fatwa “Islam rejects all kinds of unjust violence, breach of peace, bloodshed, murder and plunder and does not allow it in any form Bharatiya Janata Party welcomed the decision with the party president Mr Rajnath Singh welcomed this move and praised D-U-D for making an anti terror and pro peace statement. Several other organizations/leaders across the world have welcomed this move.
