Ten more people were killed in Rajasthan when police opened fire to disperse an agitating Gujjar crowd. It has been reported that the police had to take the desperate measure as the agitating gujjars torched a police station in Dausa district of Rajasthan.

The protestors are adamant that they will not cremate the bodies till their demands are met. They continued to demand ST status and were also protesting the police firing which resulted in more than ten causalities. In the Bayana town, the protestors lined the bodies of the causalities resulting from police firing, along the Delhi-Mumbai railway line and blocked the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Four vehicles, including a bus have been burnt in this protest.

The security across the state has been tightened and the state government even imposed orders prohibiting gathering of more than four people at a time. The center may soon deploy army to the six troubled districts in order to quell the violence.

Life has been disrupted due to these demonstrations. Several trains have been suspended and many more have been diverted leaving passengers in utter confusion. As a result of this violence BJP will now shift its National Executive meeting from Jaipur to Delhi.
