New Delhi: A key terrorist suspect was nabbed along with three kg RDX . The terrorist was identified as Abdur Rehman alias Mohammad Iqbal (31) who belonged to a Bangladesh-based militant group called Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI).  Rehman was remanded to 11 days Delhi Police custody for further investigation.

A series of blasts were planned in Delhi by this operative and the Delhi Police believes that it has averted a major disaster. Rehman was nabbed near New Delhi Railway Station on Wednesday night.. Three kilograms of RDX has been recovered from him, seven more kilograms of RDX is also believed to be floating around in the city and the police are trying to recover it as soon as possible.

The arrest where carried out after information from central intelligence agencies about the possibility of HuJI planning a serial bomb blast in Delhi. At this point a connection with the recent Jaipur blasts is unclear but there is a strong possibility that the accused might be involved in the Samjhauta Express blasts of February 2007
