Google provided the IP address of Krishnakumar Vaid who posted who posted offensive content about Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Google stated that its policy is to comply with local laws at the same time it also emphasized that protecting the user’s information is its primary goal.

Krishnakumar Vaid  was arrested by Pune police and has been charged under Section 67 of IT Act, 2000 after a complaint from Congress MP Amol Bhokar. The online community has unequivocally criticized the arrest. Hate communities are a part of Orkut and venomous spat occurs from time to time in many online communities. But this is the first time an action of this kind has been taken.

Acoording to multiple reports the post was done in a community called “I hate sonia gandhi ” but no such community was there is however a “We hate sonia gandhi “ community with little over two hundred member. There are similar hate communities for various political leaders like Arjun Singh, A, Raj Thackrey.
