Former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde resigned from all posts he held in the BJP on Sunday. There had been differences between him and Gadkari and BJP is all set to resolve it. BJP has summoned both Gadkari and Munde to Delhi.
Munde quit after his was displeased at the appointment of Madhu Chavan as the head of the party's Mumbai unit. Madhu Chavan is considered close to state BJP chief Nitin Gadkari whereas Munde wanted Raj Purohit for that post. It has been reported that 16 BJP corporators of Pune civic body have also sent their resignations to the party in order to express their support of Munde. Munde said"" "I resigned from all party posts because the party is not functioning democratically". Rajnath Singh Said that his resignation will not be accepted and things will be sorted out soon. |
